COLFOS is a ready-to-use insecticide combining the active ingredients Ethion and Cypermethrin, designed for effective control of Bollworms on cotton. It works through both contact and stomach action.

MODE OF ACTION

• Ethion: Non-systemic insecticide with predominant contact action. Ethion acts as an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor, blocking the enzyme responsible for the breakdown of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, leading to disrupted nerve impulse transmission in insects.
• Cypermethrin: Functions as a sodium channel modulator, keeping sodium channels open and causing hyperexcitation in nerve cells, which can lead to nerve block in some cases.
