Pi Jumbo (Imidacloprid 17.8%) Insecticide

JUMBO is a systemic chloro-nicotinyl insecticide designed for soil, seed, and foliar applications. It effectively controls a wide range of sucking insects, including:

• Rice hoppers
• Aphids
• Thrips
• Termites
• Turf insects
• Soil insects
• Some beetles

JUMBO is extensively used on various crops such as Cotton, Rice, Chili, Sugarcane, Mango, Sunflower, Okra, Citrus, and Groundnut. It exhibits systemic properties, particularly when applied as a seed or soil treatment.

MODE OF ACTION

JUMBO interferes with the transmission of stimuli in the insect nervous system by blocking nicotinergic neuronal pathways, which are more prevalent in insects than in warm-blooded animals. This blockage leads to the accumulation of acetylcholine, an essential neurotransmitter, resulting in paralysis and eventual death of the target pests.
