Maxima

Maxima is a second-generation Neonicotinoid insecticide designed for the effective control of various sucking insects across a wide range of crops. It protects the entire plant through systemic and translaminar action.

MODE OF ACTION

Maxima targets the central nervous system of insects by causing an irreversible blockage of postsynaptic nicotinic acetylcholine receptors. This disruption results in:

• Rapid nerve impulses
• Hyperexcitation
• Convulsions
• Paralysis
• Ultimately, death of the insect

Unlike organophosphates, carbamates, and pyrethroids, which affect nerve fiber membrane proteins, Maxima specifically interferes with the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor.
